Terms of participation
Translation for convenience. The legally binding version is the German Teilnahmebedingungen.
Key points
- Contract: your booking is a binding offer; the contract comes about with our confirmation by email.
- Scope: twelve sessions of two hours over three weeks for the medical language course, eight sessions over two weeks for the other two, online via Zoom, including materials, two marked mock exams, a certificate of attendance and access to the session recordings and practice materials for at least 24 months after the last session.
- Not included: the language examination itself. Only telc and the regional medical chambers administer those; registration and their fees are your own responsibility.
- Price: depends on the course and is shown before you complete the booking: €490 medical language exam, €290 nursing, €390 university admission, per participant. Small business under § 19 UStG, no VAT shown. Payment on booking; instalments by separate arrangement.
- Level: the medical language course assumes solid B2, the other courses solid B1. The level you state when booking is a self-declaration and is not verified by us.
- Minimum group size: a course runs from five participants. Below that we postpone or cancel and refund in full.
- Recordings: sessions are recorded for participants of that course; your spoken contributions may form part of the recording.
- If your level turns out to be too low: up to the end of the second session you may switch to a suitable course free of charge, or withdraw and be refunded minus the share for sessions already held.
- Cancellation after the withdrawal period: free of charge up to 14 days before the first session; 50 % from then until the first session; no refund from the first session onwards, but you keep access to recordings and materials. One free transfer to a later course up to seven days before the start, and you may name a replacement participant at any time. You may always show that we incurred no or a substantially lower loss.
- No guaranteed exam result: we owe a diligently delivered course, not a pass.
