2. Principle

We process personal data only as far as necessary to operate this website and to answer your enquiry. This website uses no analytics or advertising cookies, no tracking services, no ad networks and no social media plugins.

3. Server log files

When you open these pages, our hosting provider automatically collects the information your browser transmits: browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, host name, time of the request and IP address. This is technically necessary to deliver the site and to keep it stable and secure. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest). Log files are deleted after 30 days at the latest.

4. Contact and registration form

If you send us an enquiry through the form, we process the data you provide (name, email address, optionally phone number, course goal, language level, preferred start and your message) in order to answer and advise you. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where the enquiry relates to entering into or performing a contract, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR (your consent). You may withdraw consent at any time by email; this does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

We keep the data until the purpose no longer applies — for example once your enquiry has been dealt with conclusively. Mandatory statutory retention periods, in particular under commercial and tax law, remain unaffected.

5. Contact by email, phone or WhatsApp

If you contact us by email or phone we process your details to handle your request. If you use WhatsApp, your data is additionally processed by WhatsApp Ireland Ltd., over which we have no influence. If you wish to avoid that, please write to us at info@linguamentor.de.

6. Payment processing via Stripe

Course bookings are processed by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., 1 Grand Canal Street Lower, Grand Canal Dock, Dublin, Ireland. When you book, you are forwarded to a page operated by Stripe. The payment details you enter there — name, email address, billing address and card data — are processed by Stripe under its own responsibility. We never see or store your card details. From Stripe we receive confirmation that a payment was made and for which course, together with your name and email address. We also pass a reference containing the booked course and the language level you stated. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR. Details at stripe.com/privacy.

7. Hosting

This website is hosted by Netlify, Inc., 512 2nd Street, Suite 200, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. The provider processes the data described in section 3 on our behalf under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. As Netlify is based in the USA, personal data may be transferred to a third country; Netlify relies on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses under Art. 46 (2) (c) GDPR. 8. Fonts

This website loads fonts from Google Fonts, which establishes a connection to servers of Google Ireland Ltd. and transmits your IP address. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (consistent, legible typography including Arabic script).

9. Your rights

You have the right to obtain information about your stored data free of charge (Art. 15 GDPR), and rights to rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21 GDPR). Please contact info@linguamentor.de.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In North Rhine-Westphalia this is the Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit NRW, Kavalleriestraße 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf, Germany.

10. SSL/TLS encryption

For security reasons this site uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the “https://” prefix in the browser address bar.

We update this policy whenever the legal situation or our processing changes. The version published here applies. Last updated: 17 August 2026.
